How AI Harms Our Brains and Stops Cognitive Growth

This is how The AI Destroying Human brains and we remain ideal rather than development. Most of the Junior software employs not showing interest in learning or developing their skills rather they are doing it by using AI Tools like ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot. By using these ai tools rather than learning will make you finish the task easier and faster but you may not understand the logic may affect if AI is not there or any other case where you should do on your own. I believe it’s incredibly useful, but we should use it wisely and ensure we actually understand what we’re doing

Pros of using AI:

  • 24/7 Availability
  • Easy Data Analysis
  • Data Efficiency and Automation
  • No human Error
  • Personalised Assistance
  • Improved or Recommended Decision making

Cons of using AI:

  • Reduces Human Interaction: By using Ai, we are asking doubt ai more than asking someone like Teacher, Senior, Team Lead.
  • Stopped Researching: Simply asking Ai to do research the Topic or data rather than gathering the data on own.
  • Stopped Learning: Students and all stopped learning new thing and just copy pasting the data from ai.
  • More Ai Dependency: Using the Artificial intelligence is growing than Human intelligence.
  • No Development: By using Ai may complete the work faster but you may not learn anything from it.
  • Environmental Impact: Ai need High Energy consumption and water to cool down and high carbon emission and electronic waste.
  • Privacy concerns: Ai may use your data for other purposes like Training itself and etc.
  • Job’s Replacements: Can replace some jobs in future and some are losing in startup companies

Sectors Effected by Ai:

  • Customer service: Chatbots are replacing most of the customer service to reduce the cost and human error causes job losses
  • Transportation: Ai based automatic cars are started to release and are affecting the drivers’ jobs
  • Manufacturing: Ai Robots are doing massive production work automatically without any error may replace human workers in factories and industries.
  • Media & Entertainment: can createFake new and Deep fake images and videos and can misuse them without the owner permit.
  • Education: Teacher and some other junior leachers jobs are impacting by ai use of students for learning.
  • Creative Work Industries: Ai is Creating art like Ghibli art, music, songs and so on by replacing true artist
  • Human Resource Team: Filtering Candidates without any bias with accurate filtering of required skilled candidate.
  • Privacy and Digital Surveillance: Ai Data can by surveillance by both ai company and the country

Will ai rule humans in future:

Yes, AI might rule over humans in the future if we become overly dependent on it rather than relying on human effort. Some AIs are already gaining access to our data, and if this continues—and we grant them full access—it could lead to us being constantly monitored. Someone could clearly observe our daily activities, which would seriously affect our privacy.

Overusing of AI tools could gradually replace human-driven tasks, leading to massive job losses. If this continues unchecked, it could result in serious consequences. Therefore, we must set limitations on AI and use it only when there is no better alternative.

Some people have already shifted many aspects of their daily lives from human interaction to AI automation. It’s slowly taking control of our behaviour, and we haven’t even noticed or getting the point. Ask someone who heavily relies on AI to complete a task without it—they will likely struggle. If he is a professional also if he started using ai he will only ask ai to do work instead of working by himself.

My take on Ai in my daily life:

There was a time when I heavily relied on AI in my daily work as a software developer. I used it to generate code based on input text and would often just copy and paste the results. While this helped me complete tasks quickly, I later realized that I wasn’t truly understanding the code I was using. This became a concern because if I ever joined a company that restricted the use of AI tools, I’d struggle to perform and risk losing my job.

That’s why I’ve started reducing my dependence on AI. I still use it, but more thoughtfully—mainly as a learning aid rather than a copy paste. I’m not against AI; I believe it’s incredibly useful, but we should use it wisely and ensure we actually understand what we’re doing
